Timeline S2 – SPOILER ALERT

In the second season of Fear The Walking Dead we see the characters clinging to an impossible semblance of maintaining still valid social structures, but slowly surrendering to the evidence that humanity as they had known it until then is now lost.
The new world forces with horror and ruthlessness to bound interior evolutions, but not everyone will be able to overcome them.
From California we move to Mexico and we will enter one of the most terrifying locations of the entire saga, the Rosarito Beach Hotel.

August 23rd, 2010
While sailing to Mexico aboard the Abigail, the group encounters floating debris and lands on the coast south of San Diego, finding the remains of Flight 462. Madison and her companions rescue Alex and Jake, who are on a dinghy, but are not allowed aboard. Victor, viewing them as a threat, cuts the rope tethering the dinghy to the yacht and abandons them in the open sea.
August 25th, 2010
After passing naval blockades and pirate threats along the coast, the crew reaches the coast of Mexico and heads inland to Baja California, to the fazenda of Victor’s companion, Thomas. This seemingly peaceful oasis, however, turns out to be a disturbing place when Madison discovers that Celia, the estate’s caretaker, religiously hides dozens of walkers in the cellar, believing them to be simply deceased, entering a new phase of life. Madison coldly locks Celia in the cell and leaves her to be devoured by the dead.
August 26th, 2010
The fragile stability of the fazenda collapses when Thomas dies from an infected bite. Haunted by hallucinations of his military past, Daniel loses his sanity and, during the night, intentionally sets a fire in the walkers’ cell, which quickly engulfs the entire facility, forcing everyone to flee.
August 27th, 2010
Daniel, believed dead but actually surviving with severe burns, wanders in a dazed state to the outskirts of Tijuana. Efraín helps him, treating him; later, Efraín secretly takes him to the large Gonzalez Dam, a waterworks managed by Lola, who offers Daniel a job as a security guard.
August 28th, 2010
Madison, Strand, Alicia, and Ofelia reach the coast and barricade themselves in the Rosarito Beach Hotel, a large tourist facility that needs to be cleaned by walkers. Meanwhile, Travis and his son, Chris, venture inland and encounter three young Americans on the run.
August 30th, 2010
Nick, who has chosen to abandon his family because of his disturbing psychological connection to the undead, wanders alone in the desert, risking dehydration. Exhausted, the boy is rescued by Luciana; she takes him to La Colonia, a fortified settlement led by the pharmacist Alejandro.
September 7th, 2010
Chris’s loss of morals, fascinated by the brutality of his new companions, pushes him to abandon his father and join the three permanently; the alliance proves fatal when, after a serious car accident, the young men coldly execute him for his severe leg wound.
September 9th, 2010
Travis locates the Rosarito Beach Hotel and reunites with Madison and Alicia; the discovery of Chris’s death unleashes an uncontrollable rage that leads him to kill those responsible. This act violates hotel rules and the group is exiled; meanwhile, Ofelia, who had escaped from the hotel, runs out of fuel at the border and is rescued by the native Walker leader.
September 10th, 2010
Following Nick’s trail, Madison, Travis, and Alicia arrive at La Colonia, finding it deserted after the cartel attack. Thanks to the dying Alejandro’s final words, they learn that the boy is headed on foot toward the US border; the family sets out but ends up held captive at a military checkpoint led by the unstable Troy.
