Timeline S3 – SPOILER ALERT

Considered by many not as exciting as the others, at a second viewing the third season of Fear The Walking Dead regains the appropriate and more positive appreciation it deserves.
At times touching horror peaks never reached even in the future, it confronts the protagonists with the absurdity of the new world in which they are now forced to live, bringing to the surface aspects of their personality never explored until now, and forcing them to unexpected evolutions.
During its course, we will also be saying goodbye to two of the main and most beloved characters from the beginning.
Below are the highlights in the timeline of FTWD’s Third Season.

September 11th, 2010
During the airlift to the military outpost led by Jake, the helicopter carrying Travis and Alicia is hit by gunfire from the ground. Travis is mortally wounded in the neck and abdomen; knowing his end is imminent, he jumps out of the way to spare the passengers.
September 12th, 2010
Madison, Nick, and Luciana, escorted by Troy, arrive at Broke Jaw Ranch, a large, isolated survivalist community in the mountains. Shortly thereafter, they are joined by Alicia, who brings the tragic news of Travis’s death; Madison decides to settle in on the ranch and secretly take over.
September 13th, 2010
Victor, escaped from the Rosarito Beach Hotel, crosses the Mexican countryside and reaches the imposing Gonzalez Dam. Inside the reservoir, he is shocked to find Daniel, believed dead in the farm fire and now the right-hand man of director Lola.
September 15th, 2010
Luciana, deeply uncomfortable with the militaristic and racist ideology of the ranch’s residents, decides to abandon the outpost in the dead of night. She asks Nick to escape with her to start a new life elsewhere, but young Clark chooses to stay to protect his mother and Alicia.
September 19th, 2010
Amid growing territorial tensions between survivalists and Native Americans, Alicia discovers that Ofelia is alive. She now resides on Black Hat, the indigenous reservation led by the charismatic Walker, who claims legal ownership of the lands occupied by the Otto ranch.
September 21st, 2010
On Walker’s orders, Ofelia reinfiltrates Broke Jaw Ranch and secretly poisons the community’s water supply using anthrax spores. The biological attack quickly decimates the ranch’s militia and sparks a violent and bloody internal uprising between the two factions.
September 23rd, 2010
To prevent all-out war and the ranch’s destruction, Nick treacherously kills the leader Jeremiah. Madison hides his body and gives his severed head to Walker as a peace offering; the agreement is sealed, and the Native Americans officially move into the community.
October 3rd, 2010
Due to a severe drought that is bringing the ranch to its knees, Madison takes a diplomatic trip to Mexico. She strikes a strategic deal with Daniel and Lola: the dam will provide regular drinking water to the ranch’s residents in exchange for a massive shipment of weapons and ammunition.
October 4th, 2010
The unstable Troy, exiled from the ranch for treason, takes revenge by inciting a huge horde of walkers against the community, who destroy its fences. In the ensuing chaos of carnage, Ofelia is bitten in the shoulder and dies the next day in the arms of the desperate Daniel who arrives.
October 7th, 2010
With the dam besieged by the Attorney General’s guards and internal betrayals, Nick makes a drastic decision to save his mother and sister. The boy activates the charges and blows up the imposing Gonzalez Dam; the immense wave engulfs the entire structure, scattering the protagonists in the violent current.
