Timeline S4 – SPOILER ALERT

Another small time jump that takes us six months ahead.
In this fourth season of The Walking Dead we will see the protagonists struggling with an epidemic, with the definitive loss of the prison safety and with the terror of being back on the street without protection.
Season enclosed in the short time span of just three weeks, it will present us another of the scariest places of the whole saga, Terminus, then acting as a bridge to the entrance on scene of one of its most important and lasting locations, Alexandria.
I present you below a timeline of the main events of the Fourth Season of TWD.
PS: the dates are approximate but more or less it all happened in those days.

December 10th, 2011
After a period of relative calm inside the prison, the group of survivors welcomes a new addition to their ranks. Bob, a former military doctor haunted by his past and left alone, is found and officially joins the community.
December 17th, 2011
The tranquility of the prison is shattered by the outbreak of a violent and aggressive avian flu epidemic that spreads within the walls. Young Patrick becomes the first victim to succumb to the disease during the night, reviving as a walker in the cell block.
December 18th, 2011
The infection spread rapidly, throwing the community into panic. In a desperate attempt to isolate the virus and protect the rest of the healthy population, Carol takes a drastic step and kills Karen and David in their sleep, who had begun to show the first symptoms.
December 20th, 2011
After investigating the mysterious deaths of the two patients, Rick finds out Carol’s responsibility. Judging her unilateral actions an unacceptable threat to civil coexistence and fearing Tyreese’s reaction, Rick decides to banish her from the prison forever.
December 21st, 2011
The Governor returns to the prison with a new army and launches a devastating attack. Refusing all diplomatic channels, he brutally beheads Hershel before being killed by Michonne. The prison is completely destroyed, and the few survivors flee in different directions.
December 22nd, 2011
As they try to walk away from the ruins of the prison along the train tracks, Glenn and Tara cross paths with a trio of soldiers: Rosita, Abraham, and Eugene.
December 24th, 2011
During their desperate escape through the woods, Beth is suddenly separated from Daryl. She is mysteriously kidnapped and forcibly loaded into a dark car that speeds away, recognizable only by a white cross painted on the rear window.
December 26th, 2011
Inside a temporary shelter, little Lizzie’s latent madness tragically explodes when she kills her little sister Mika to prove that walkers are just different creatures. Faced with the impossibility of managing and controlling her, Carol is forced to kill Lizzie to protect Judith.
December 28th, 2011
Following directions left on signs along the tracks promising “sanctuary for all,” Rick, Carl, Michonne, and the other surviving members of the main group finally reach the Terminus settlement, where an unexpected trap awaits them.
