Timeline S3 – SPOILER ALERT

We are confronted with the first time jump of the series which takes us to seven months after the end of the previous season.
The third season of The Walking Dead shows the members of the group exhausted after a winter spent in makeshift places, finding a solid and safe site like the prison, another location impressed in the collective imagination of the saga fans. Some of the most terrifying moments of the entire series will be shown in its dark corridors.
In addition to the character of Michonne, the first real villain will also appear, Philip, the Governor.

June 2nd, 2011
After a harsh winter spent constantly on the run from makeshift shelters, the exhausted group finds a massive abandoned prison. Rick and the other survivors decide to forcibly clear the outer courtyards and the first cell blocks of the massive infestation of walkers, officially taking possession and transforming it into a secure fortress.
June 3rd, 2011
While exploring the prison’s dark corridors, Hershel is bitten on the leg by a hidden infected person, and Rick is forced to amputate his limb on the spot to stop the virus. That same day, Andrea and Michonne are intercepted and taken to Woodbury, a seemingly idyllic fortified town ruled by the mysterious Governor.
June 9th, 2011
A walker influx caused by internal sabotage causes panic in the prison. T-Dog sacrifices himself to save Carol, being devoured by the infected, while Lori dies from an emergency C-section, giving birth to a baby girl whom Carl names Judith.
June 12th, 2011
The delicate balance between the prison and Woodbury is finally shattered when the Governor launches the first brutal armed attack on the prison. The raid destroys the outer fences with machine gun fire and ushers a van full of walkers into the main courtyard, wreaking havoc among Rick’s group.
June 13th, 2011
As the prison attempts to reorganize its defenses after the attack, a new group of survivors led by Sasha and Tyreese manage to enter the facility through a collapsed rear section, finding temporary shelter within the not-yet-cleared blocks.
June 14th, 2011
During an expedition to recover weapons in his old hometown, Rick unexpectedly encounters Morgan, now unstable and alone after the loss of his son, Duane. Despite his insistence and the dangers outside, Morgan categorically refuses Rick’s invitation to join the prison, preferring to remain isolated in his fortress.
June 17th, 2011
Desperate to avert an all-out war that would destroy both communities, Rick and the Governor meet face-to-face at a neutral site to negotiate a peace agreement. The meeting proves tense and fruitless, as the Governor secretly demands Michonne’s immediate surrender to end the hostilities.
June 19th, 2011
Merle decides to kidnap Michonne on his own initiative to deliver her to the Governor, but changes his mind along the way and lets her escape. Aware of the consequences, Merle decides to ambush the enemy army alone, but is discovered and brutally killed by the Governor himself.
June 20th, 2011
The Woodbury army launches a final assault on the prison, but falls into a trap set by Rick and is repelled. Meanwhile, Andrea is trapped by the Governor in a room with a dying Milton; he reanimates and bites her before she can free herself, forcing Andrea to commit suicide to avoid the transformation.
June 21st, 2011
Left without soldiers and blinded by rage over the failure of the siege, the Governor decides to exterminate his own dissident citizens along the way and sets fire to Woodbury, disappearing into thin air and forcing Rick to transfer the remaining civilians inside the prison.
