Timeline S1 – SPOILER ALERT

In the new spinoff of The Walking Dead, starring Daryl Dixon, we find the beloved character suddenly catapulted in France, dealing with new mutations of walkers, and fighting with yet another villain of the moment.
Between the gothic atmospheres of abbeys and medieval castles and the responsibility of having to escort a special boy towards a predetermined destination, Daryl will at the same time try to find his way home to America.
Below is the timeline with the main events of the First Season of TWD Daryl Dixon.

Told in flashback

November 2nd, 2022
A few months after leaving the Commonwealth, Daryl finds himself in Maine. Short on supplies for the return journey, he agrees to trade fuel for a group of hunters; unaware that these mercenaries are working for French scientists, who are conducting shadowy biological experiments on the undead aboard a cargo ship.
November 5th, 2022
Using a fragile long-range radio frequency, Daryl manages to briefly connect with Carol in Virginia. During their tense conversation, she attempts to update him on the latest developments in Alexandria, informing him that someone has returned, but the connection is cut short.
November 6th, 2022
The situation escalates when a violent brawl breaks out between Daryl and one of the group’s more irascible hunters. Considered subversive and a threat to the safety of the scientific cargo, Daryl is disarmed and locked in solitary confinement on the ship while the vessel sets sail for France.
November 20th, 2022
Captive for two weeks in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, Daryl plans a desperate escape attempt and frees himself from his chains in the hold. To create a diversion, he opens the cages holding the test subjects, sparking panic on board. To escape the flames of the devastating fire that broke out on deck, Daryl jumps into the sea near the French coast.

Events of the first season

November 22nd, 2022
Having miraculously survived the shipwreck thanks to the remains of an overturned lifeboat, Daryl washes up in a state of shock on a beach near Marseille, in southern France. Without weapons or equipment, he finds himself completely isolated in a strange country.
December 2nd, 2022
While exploring an abandoned covered market, Daryl is attacked by a group of anomalous walkers. Some of these undead have mutated, highly acidic blood; during the fight, Daryl is infected by the corrosive liquid from one of them, causing a severe skin burn.
December 3rd, 2022
Found unconscious on the road, Daryl is rescued by Isabelle, a nun with a troubled past, who takes him inside her fortified abbey. The man receives emergency medical care from the nuns, who manage to halt the progression of the lethal infection by painfully cauterizing the wound.
December 5th, 2022
Codron, the ruthless leader of a local military faction, storms the abbey with his men, wrongly holding Daryl responsible for his brother’s recent death. During the ensuing firefight, the militia exterminates nearly all the nuns, but Daryl’s intervention forces a wounded Codron to retreat.
December 6th, 2022
Aware that the abbey is no longer safe and that the military will return with reinforcements, Daryl, Isabelle, and young Sylvie decide to evacuate the facility the next day. The group sets out, taking with them Laurent, a young boy protected by the religious order because he is considered the messiah and the key to humanity’s salvation.
December 12th, 2022
After days of walking north, the four travelers reach the town of Angers to seek asylum from a member of the Union of Hope, the nuns’ mutual aid network. Once there, the group is shocked to discover that the man has gone completely mad due to isolation, turning his home into a trap.
December 14th, 2022
Reaching a ghostly Paris, Daryl and his companions make contact with Fallou, a resistance leader, who leads them to an underground nightclub. There, Isabelle unexpectedly reunites with Quinn, her cynical ex-boyfriend, who has amassed immense power in the black market and reveals himself to be Laurent’s father. At the same time, Codron raids the club.
December 15th, 2022
Using his influence and power, Quinn has Laurent kidnapped, intending to keep him in Paris and force Isabelle not to abandon him. Daryl organizes a raid in the dead of night and manages to free the child; recognizing the dangers of the capital, Isabelle and Sylvie choose to stay in Paris to join the resistance, entrusting Laurent to Daryl to escort him to the Nest (Mont Saint-Michel).
December 17th, 2022
As Daryl and Laurent sail toward the stronghold, they are captured by the troops of Genet, leader of the Pouvoir faction. Taken to the headquarters, they discover that Quinn has also been imprisoned for the betrayal of the jealous Anna. Genet forces Daryl and Quinn to fight in an arena against enhanced zombies, but Fallou’s intervention and Quinn’s sacrifice allow the escape.
December 19th, 2022
After passing unscathed through the last military blockade set up by nationalist soldiers, Daryl, Isabelle, Laurent, and Sylvie finally reach the imposing fortress of the Nest, which is nothing other than Mont Saint-Michel. The four survivors are warmly welcomed by the entire community and the council led by the ceremonious Losang.
December 26th, 2022
After spending a week in safety training the residents in hunting techniques, Daryl decides it’s time to return to the United States. The archer bids farewell to his companions and leaves the Nest for the Normandy coast, where Losang has arranged a rendezvous via radio with the crew of a boat headed for England.
December 27th, 2022
Daryl reaches Omaha Beach and spots the boat ready to rescue him, but he realizes that little Laurent has secretly followed him, defying the walkers on the coast. Torn between his duty to his family in America and his emotional bond with the child, Daryl hesitates and chooses to stay in France; at the same time, in Maine, Carol begins scouting the area for Daryl.
